Antiques Roadshow
This past weekend I watched Antiques Roadshow on PBS. Antiques Roadshow features people bringing in antiques to be inspected by experts. In this one scene, a man brings in a painting, wondering if it has any value. In fact his wife thinks it's worthless and makes him keep it in the basement. Soon the expert begins to examine the painting and tells the man the painting he has is extremely valuable. In fact, in an auction it could be worth $150,000 or more. The man is speechless an exclaims that his wife will now allow him to bring the painting up from the basement. This scene reminds me of Ephesians 2:10a which says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.." That word "workmanship" means valuable art piece or a valuable painting. All to often we let others keep us in the basement, making us think we are worthless. Yet in Jesus we are valuable works of art. May you get out of the basement and realize your worth in Jesus Christ. These are the days my friend.
